SSC Protest 2025: The Voice of Deserving Students Fighting for Justice

Today, we, the youth of India, are standing at a point where our hard work, merit, and dreams are being crushed under the weight of a corrupt and careless system. The ongoing SSC (Staff Selection Commission) protest is not just about exam dates or notifications anymore—it’s about respect, fairness, and the very future of millions of students.

I am a responsible citizen of India, the fourth-largest economy in the world, and I welcome you to this nation where corruption has seeped so deeply into the system that words often fall short to describe its extent. But according to our elected representatives, we are living in “Amrit Kaal.” I want to ask—what kind of Amrit Kaal is this, where meritorious students are struggling even for basic necessities to appear in exams?

Key Demands of SSC Protesting Students

The demands of the protesting students are straightforward and completely justified:

  • Timely Examination Calendar: Regular scheduling of exams without unnecessary delays.
  • Transparent Recruitment Process: Ensuring no paper leaks, scams, or unfair practices.
  • Accountability of Officials: Strict action against authorities involved in malpractices.
  • Basic Examination Facilities: Adequate centers, infrastructure, and proper management during exams.
  • No Arbitrary Cancellations: Once conducted, exams should not be cancelled due to administrative failures.

The Disrespect Towards Educators

India has always given immense respect to teachers and mentors. As Sant Kabir once said:

“Guru Govind dou khade, kaake laagu paay? Balihaari guru aapne, Govind diyo batay.”

Gurus are given a status higher than even God. But today, the same gurus and educators are being humiliated and beaten by the police. What are you trying to achieve by insulting those who shape the future of this nation?

Media Silence and Twisting the Narrative

And then there is the sold-out media, which chooses to stay silent or twist the narrative instead of showing the students’ genuine struggle. We are not making any baseless or illogical demands; we are simply asking for what is rightfully ours.

A System That Chooses Dacoits Over Thieves

You can also say that if these authorities have problems every time, then earlier those problems seemed small. But now, they have made students crave even for basic necessities. It’s like removing a thief and placing a dacoit instead. We, the students, have elected you with the hope that you will fix the system, not worsen it.

But fine, it’s a matter of time—today is yours, tomorrow will be ours.

Are Policymakers Ready to Listen?

If this country continues to ignore its deserving youth, it will not be long before frustration turns into a mass uprising. The students are ready to sacrifice, but the question is—are the policymakers ready to listen?
